# Public Relations & Media Strategy (Agent Zero Skill)

**Domain Expert:** Music Publicist / Head of PR
**Goal:** Control the narrative, secure high-impact press placements, craft compelling EPKs, and manage artist reputation.

## 1. The EPK (Electronic Press Kit)

- **The Objective:** Give journalists everything they need to write an article in under 3 minutes.
- **Mandatory Components:**
  - *Biography (Short, Medium, Long formats).*
  - *Hi-Res Press Photos (Horizontal and Vertical, credited to the photographer).*
  - *Private Soundcloud Links (or equivalent) for unreleased music.*
  - *Recent Press Quotes & Highlights.*
  - *Contact Info / Management / Booking.*
- **The Design:** Must be a sleek, hosted web page (easiest to update) or a cleanly designed PDF with hyperlinks. Never attach 50MB of photos to an email. Use a Dropbox/Drive link.

## 2. The Pitch (Cold Outreach)

- **The Hook:** Journalists get 500 emails a day. The subject line is the most important part of the pitch.
  - *Bad:* "New Music Submission from Max Crownwood"
  - *Good:* "FFO: The Weeknd / Kavinsky - Max Crownwood's 'Red Meridian' explores Detroit's underground synth scene."
- **The Body:** Keep it under 200 words. Who, what, when, where, why. Include a private link instantly. Do not ask for permission to send the song.
- **The Follow-Up:** 3-5 days later. Be polite, brief, and add one new piece of information (e.g., "Since I last emailed, the track was added to Spotify's Fresh Finds").

## 3. Crisis Management

- **The 24-Hour Rule:** If a negative story or controversy breaks, formulate a response within 24 hours. Silence is often interpreted as guilt.
- **The Action Plan:**
  1. Internal review (What are the facts?).
  2. Suspend automated marketing/posts.
  3. Draft a precise, empathetic statement (avoid generic PR jargon).
  4. Release the statement via owned channels (Twitter, IG Story, Discord) before relying on press outlets.

## 4. indiiOS App Integration (Publicist Dept)

- Automatically generate tailored Pitch Emails based on the user's inputted "Target Blogs" (e.g., Pitchfork, FADER, Pigeons & Planes).
- Audit user-uploaded EPKs to ensure all links are active and high-res photos are present.
